About the Researcher:

Jonas Moffat-Caballero is an MPhil student in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge. He received his undergraduate degrees in Journalism and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Jonas is the co-founder of the Tel Rumeida Circus for Detained Palestinians and has worked with the International Solidarity Movement for several years. Jonas is also the co-founder of Students for Justice in Palestine at the Univ. of Pittsburgh where he served as its president for 2 years.

About the Research:

Jonas will be interviewing Palestinian BDS activists in the UK and Palestine to look at how experiences living under occupation influence BDS priorities compared to life experiences of activists living in the diaspora. The goal of these interviews is to highlight the personal narratives of Palestinians involved in BDS efforts and will be incorporated into his research on the trajectory and efficacy of the BDS movement.
